Numbers with Play Doh

Stamp the number and put that number of marbles in the play doh.

I know it is simple, but they LOVE it! This kept their attention for awhile and it is way more fun than just counting!

Where in the World am I?

We just started this unit, and I love that it follows Creation. They are learning that God created everything, and now, we are gradually bringing it back to them :)

"My Universe" - We read a book called Planets by Gail Gibbons, and then made this mobile. I got the pieces from http://www.nickjr.com/crafts/bubble-guppies-solar-system.jhtml.

"My Earth" - I let them put 4 blue dots for  the oceans, and we counted out 7 green dots for the continents. They love finger painting :)

"Welcome Summer" Lessons

We read Miranda's Beach Day. The craft was handprint crabs.

Read Paint a Sun in the Sky, and got crafty with finger painting summery things.

Learning  about Sun safety with The Boy Who Wouldnt Swim. Our craft/science experiment was making sun prints. We made predictions on what would happen to the paper.

She thought the sun print results were pretty cool.
