Feelings

Great book and super fun craft - Vegetable Painting! I gave them a plate of mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, carrots and celery, a plate of paint, and a blank piece of paper. Probably the only time I will ever tell them "Do NOT eat your vegetables!"

"God Made Me"

Craft: Paper bag puppet with specific eye and hair color. I asked the girls what they liked about themselves and wrote their answers on the back of the bag. Very cute!  Hannah said I'm gonna like me because "I like playing with toys." I added that she is good at making friends.

We read a book called "I like Me" by Carlson. For a craft I traced their hands, and use and ink pad to create their individual fingerprints. We compared all our fingerprints and talked about how God made each of us special. No two people have the same print. They were kind of proud of that :)

Where in the World am I?

For our state, I printed  off a picture of the state, the state flower, state bird, and state flag. We read "Our 50 States" by Cheney
We got local brochures from the airport and cut out  pictures of places we have been in our city. We read "City Dog, Country Frog" by Willems
Cut out different shapes and let  them build a house. We learned our addresses as well. We read "Llama llama  Home with Mama" by Dewdney.
